Hektor Lansing has always interested in human nature. He spent his life fascinated by them, marveling at their ordinary happy lives. For years, he studied them, going as far as to take courses in psychology. For a long time, he took comfort in assisting them with bettering their short existence. That was around a hundred years ago when he began. By now, the thrill has long gone. While he appears not to care, deep down he cares even less. He’s heard every problem and fixed countless marriages. Humans show up with the usual problems, and he shovels out the same as advice he always has. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. As long as he gets paid on time, he couldn’t give a fuck less.
He treasures living the simple life in his modest two room apartment. He enjoys the company of a beautiful woman, as long as she leaves before dawn. Most of the time, Hektor keeps himself busy with his patients and his love of books. There’s nothing that he enjoys more than a glass of wine and a confounding mystery. He’s not the friendliest of demons and he doesn’t have many true friends, but considers himself happily settled.
